First morning in Incheon, Seogu

We landed last night. I certainly know I am in Korea. We are staying in a beautiful western style hotel, Ramada Songo. The keyboard is in English and Hangul, but the menus on the websites are in Hangul. How odd -- I can see that the name of my blog is Trip to South Korea (in English) but I can't read any of the commands. Pointing and smiling will be my strategy in communicating with the Koreans, hopefully that will work with the computers as well.

We were met at the airport by three impeccably dressed men (suits and very colourful ties with sparkles on them!). Stephen, a young stockbroker, speaks very good English (Phew). We piled into a jumbo taxi -- Janis being the smallest got to squeeze in the back seat with the other three gentlemen for the hour drive to our hotel. There were 9 of us in the cab all together plus all of our luggage.

It was dark when we landed, so haven't seen much yet. Lots of neon, signs seem to be in English and Hangul, cars are basically the same with a few boxy smaller versions of vans.

This morning will be a Korean breakfast, then a visit to a temple and lunch at an observatory before we head off to the airport in Seoul this afternoon. I am in love with it already!
